CZ DUTY 4.0 C

About this product
Someone who has finished a frame on a jig knows exactly what a serialized chassis means, and that is where CZ's new pistol gets interesting. On the DUTY 4.0 the number lives on the internal chassis, while the fiberglass-reinforced polymer grip frame is a modular shell around it. It is sold as the C compact, the F full-size, and MS versions of both that add a manual thumb safety to the firing pin block, trigger safety and trigger bar safety.
We list it for the customer who wants one ready-made 9mm beside the project gun. Both sizes carry a 4-inch barrel with no threads, fixed sights, and a slide cut for a red dot straight on the metal. Length is 188 mm and width 33 mm. The refined SFDA trigger pulls 25±4 N, travels 9±1 mm and resets in 4 mm. The compact holds 15+1 and the full-size 17+1, each gaining two rounds with the extended base plate, and CZ puts the MSRP at $729.
The chassis is serial-numbered and modular, which is CZ's way of making the polymer grip swappable. The frame itself is fiberglass-reinforced polymer, 33 mm (1.3 in) wide, on a 102 mm barrel and a 188 mm (7.4 in) overall length. The SFDA trigger breaks at 25 ± 4 N (5.6 ± 0.9 lbs) and resets in 4 mm (0.16 in). Optics mount directly to the slide; the photos from CZ show Holosun, Aimpoint and Shield footprints.
The C is the short-grip frame. It stands 135 mm (5.3 in) tall, weighs 770 g (27.2 oz) unloaded and carries 15+1 rounds of 9mm, or 17+1 once the extended floor plate is fitted. Short enough to hide under a shirt, long enough to get every finger on the grip.
The standard model skips the manual safety and keeps the three passive ones: firing pin block, trigger safety and drawbar safety. Same chassis, same trigger and slide as the MS; only the lever is missing.
The CZ DUTY 4.0 C suits anyone who wants a modern optics-ready 9mm with CZ's grip and a trigger that is better than the class average: daily carry, a home-defense gun that also rides along, and new owners who want one pistol for everything.
A complete pistol follows a different path than a frame kit. Instead of coming to your door, it ships tracked to the FFL dealer you name at checkout, and that dealer completes the transfer and applies the rules of your state when you pick it up. Check that your chosen dealer accepts inbound transfers before you order, and enter their details with the pistol.

Frequently asked questions
- Can I swap the grip frame on the DUTY 4.0 like I swap a P80 frame?
- The serialized part is the internal chassis, so by design the grip frame around it is modular; we do not list spare grip frames for it at this time.
- Does it come with a jig or tools?
- No. It is a finished factory pistol, so there is nothing to mill or drill; it arrives ready to shoot after the transfer.
- Does the CZ DUTY 4.0 C take CZ P-10 magazines?
- CZ lists the DUTY with its own 15-round magazine and an extended base plate for 17+1. P-10 magazine fit is not confirmed, so plan on DUTY magazines.
- Is the compact easy to shoot?
- It shares the 4-inch barrel and slide with the full-size gun, so the sight radius is the same. Only the grip is shorter.
