Our Founder: Derek Stone
P80 Parts was founded by Derek Stone, a certified master gunsmith with over 15 years of professional experience in firearm customization, repair, and manufacturing. Before launching the company, Derek served as a lead armorer for a private security firm and later managed the custom shop for a major Central Texas gun store, where he personally completed over 2,000 custom builds and precision assemblies. His frustration with the inconsistent quality and lack of technical support from generic parts suppliers led him to establish P80 Parts. Derek’s vision was simple: create a dedicated source that not only supplied top-tier Polymer80 components but also stood behind every product with the technical authority to help builders succeed.
Our History & Mission
Starting from a modest bench in a North Austin garage in 2018, P80 Parts quickly gained a reputation among local enthusiasts for Derek’s meticulous part vetting and his willingness to walk customers through complex builds. As demand grew, we formalized the business, moving into our current commercial space on Research Boulevard. We’ve intentionally grown at a pace that allows us to maintain our core standard: every part in our inventory is physically inspected and tested for fitment by our team.
